The Builder Behind the Mission
My name is Billy Williams. I'm a self-taught developer and the founder of Stacked Alchemist LLC. I'm based in Mesa, Arizona. I build real software that solves real problems.
I didn't come from money. I didn't go to a coding bootcamp. I learned by building — and breaking — and building again. That's still how I work.
But none of that is actually why I'm here.
Why Any of This Exists
I lost my son at 37 weeks. No heartbeat. I had to be the rock for my wife when she needed me most. I held it together because that's what you do when someone else needs you more than you need to fall apart.
About a month later — I finally broke down myself.
I was raised with the "deal with it and move on" mentality. You don't talk about it. You just push through.
I know I'm not the only one built that way. Most of us carry things locked in a filing cabinet in the back of our heads — things we never open, never talk about, never process. Not because we don't feel them. Because we don't have anywhere safe to put them.
I've met a veteran who took a 50-caliber round center mass and survived. Physically. What that does to a person on the inside — what they carry after something like that — doesn't have a place to go. The system expects them to sit down with a complete stranger and immediately be vulnerable. Most people built the way we're built will never do that. And they shouldn't have to.
I once gave away my last $40 to a stranger on the street. I couldn't not. Not because I had it to spare — I didn't. But because there are people falling through cracks that the rest of us step over every day and pretend we don't see.
That's why I'm building Vault. That's why I'm building toward compounds in all 50 states. That's why I'm building apps to generate the revenue to fund all of it.
I'm also doing this to get my family out of financial stress — I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Both things are true at the same time. The mission is real and so is the pressure. But one thing I know for certain: the mission doesn't become less real because life is hard.
The Work
While the mission is the north star, I am still very much available to build things for you. The work that funds the mission is real client work, real products, real systems. That doesn't stop.
I specialize in full-stack web applications — React, Node.js, Firebase, Stripe integration, authentication systems, dashboards, tools that actually work. I'm not a designer who codes. I'm a builder who ships.
My security background means I read environments well, stay calm under pressure, and don't cut corners on the things that matter. A system that looks good but leaks data isn't a system. It's a liability.
If you have something that needs to be built — let's talk.
The Rest of Who I Am
I grew up on strategy and RPG games — StarCraft, Diablo, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft. Those games taught me how systems work, how progression is built, how decisions compound over time. That thinking never left.
I've been building custom PCs since 2005. There's something in selecting the components, tuning the build, and watching it come to life that's the same satisfaction I get from shipping clean code.
Since 2011 I've been writing the Winglord Saga — a long-form fantasy series built around myth, consequence, and the weight of decisions. It's been with me through everything. It's still being written.
Build. Break. Refine. Repeat. — It shows up everywhere.
I'm not building this for recognition.
I'm building it because it needs to exist.
And because nobody else is building it for the people who actually need it.
